About Joanne Newlund:

Joanne Newlund is a coach and facilitator at Mission Facilitators.  She works to help individual leaders and their teams understand, use, and perfect their leadership and the creative side of leading teams and companies.  Joanne has advanced training in executive coaching, and emotional intelligence, and has owned and led several successful businesses. At Mission Facilitators, she is a senior associate with experience in coaching and facilitating team-building training for small to large companies, such as Microsoft, Boeing, Parker Aerospace, San Marco Unified School District, ExxonMobil, HonorHealth, Salt River Project, and Geiger-Cribbins.

Joanne’s belief matches McKinsey and Company’s 10-year global study of senior knowledge workers that found employees who spend the most time trusting their intuition and experiencing the creative state of “flow” are up to five times more effective than their counterparts.

Joanne’s three-part process overlays her coaching, speaking, and training.

1. Discovering.  Getting to the ‘root cause’ by listening and asking probing questions,

2. Preparing.  Developing game plans for her clients,

3. Leading.  Reframing and suggesting new approaches.

Joanne speaks on leadership, using intuition in decision-making and team building.  She has traveled worldwide and led or owned healthcare, design, and home construction companies. She spends most of her time now in Bend, Oregon, or Phoenix, Arizona.

  • Incorporating play and purpose into leadership to prevent burnout and to embrace change with enthusiasm and adaptability.
  • Providing listeners with practical advice, innovative tools, and compelling examples to transform leadership and encourage personal growth.

Key Takeaways:

  • Talent and creativity in podcasts serve as sources of inspiration, as well as reflective opportunities to maximize one’s potential.
  • The synergy of a shared vision fosters a productive work environment, which is essential for couples working together professionally.
  • Embracing a rebranding that resonates with the evolving landscape of leadership reflects the need for discourse on broader themes to remain relevant in business.
  • Leadership and innovation extend beyond mere skills; they require a mindset that cultivates creativity, adaptability, and the capacity to embrace rapidly advancing changes.
  • Understanding and harnessing the power of brain science can empower individuals to manage the pace of innovation without succumbing to the pressures of constant change.

“You have to take the time to allow yourself to play, to be able to refill yourself.” — Joanne Newlund
